NASCAR famous institution is not immune to Drug Problems

Compared to other professional sports, NASCAR has not faced the problem of drugs so often. The most famous driver to be suspended due to a drug test was 13 times race winner Tim Richmond in 1988. It became a part of Hendrick Motorsports and was the way to superstar status, appearing regularly on the NASCAR schedule. Richmond denied any drug use and his innocence was confirmed when she discovered that her cold medication caused the positive test result. In any case, NASCAR officials Richmond no longer wanted to compete. Richmond has lost weight due to an unknown illness, and unknown to NASCAR, who was dying of AIDS. In the eyes of NASCAR, the loss weight and a number of other strange symptoms had to be the result of drug use, and that was the rumor in the garage of FIFA.

In 1989, there died of medical complications from AIDS.

In fact, in the two decades after Tim Richmond was ejected from NASCAR, some drivers have taken to task for using illicit drugs. Shane Hmiel Drivers, Tyler Walker, Kevin Grubb and Aaron Fike have been suspended by NASCAR in recent years. Two of them, Grubb and Hmiel, were no longer allowed on the trail of their failure to pass the tests after being reinstated before the suspensions.

Hmiel is the son of Steve Hmiel, a long time mechanic who has worked for companies like Roush Racing, Dale Earnhardt Inc. and Chip Ganassi Racing in recent years | Hmiel is the son of mechanical veteran, Steve Hmiel, who has had an illustrious career working for names such as Dale Earnhardt Inc., Rousch Racing and Chip Ganassi Racing. Hmiel was a talented pilot and many describe it as one of the most talented rookie drivers in the last decade, but his drug problems were the ruin of his driving career promise.

Grubb was also a youngster at the end of 1990. He enjoyed moderate success in the Busch Series is now nationally before failing a drug test in 2003. Grubb was restored in 2006 and suspended again in 2007. In May 2009, Grubb was dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

The driver Tyler Walker, suspended in 2006 for not your drug test, is also friends with the Sprint Cup Series driver Kasey Kahne. To my knowledge, he has to file for reinstatement.

For Aaron Fike, NASCAR driver suspended after a stop racing theme park for possession of heroin. In a later interview with ESPN The Magazine 'Fike admitted to using heroin on race day. NASCAR Fike was the interview as a serious wake up call.

Before the 2009 season, NASCAR requires testing only to drivers under reasonable suspicion of abuse. The politics of NASCAR `s new drug includes random testing for all drivers and crew members season driving the use of third party services science labs Aegis Corp, headed by Dr. David Black.

A handful of members the crew have faced suspension after positive results.

On May 9, 2009 at Darlington Raceway, Jeremy Mayfield became the biggest name since Tim Richmond to face an indefinite suspension after testing positive. Mayfield has said repeatedly that the positive test was due to a combination of allergy medicines Claritin-D and a prescription drug but without legal name. Both Dr. Black and NASCAR have made it clear that we reject the claim Mayfield `s.

Maintaining his innocence, has hired Bill Mayfield Dielh lawyer. There can be no claim against the upcoming NASCAR.

NASCAR has not yet publicly disclosed the substance in question, and even earlier this week, Mayfield said he was not even aware of the substance. Both Mayfield and his attorney was updated earlier this week.

This case boils down to a person `s testimony against another and be taken care of out of court. That has caused a lot of attention in the sport of NASCAR, and not in a good way. However, it has affected NASCAR schedule. Mayfield's story has cast a long shadow over any news in NASCAR could make good points. Because drug problems are rare in NASCAR is a bigger deal than it would if you were and the NFL, MLB, NHL, or NBA player.

The change of method to reasonable suspicion drug testing in the form of chance was a good move by NASCAR `s. The real weakness in this new approach is that it hasn `t give NASCAR a list of banned substances to the public. It seems NASCAR wants to decide whether a substance should be banned. With information like the list of banned substances available, both crew members and drivers who know what is acceptable and what is not.

As with other professional sports, drug use is banned by NASCAR.
